The Circulair Friesland it was founded by the Frisian business community formed by 25 companies and other important organizations in the beginning of 2016. They came together in order to create a more sustainable province with with bustling cities, picturesque villages and beautiful nature. Their desire is to to convert habits into circular ambitions and to develop an economy with new activity, in which both people and nature can flourish.
The extremely ambitious members who are trying to increase the circular economy are experts in this field within their theme and they are using their most creative ideas as well as their resources to came up with the greatest result close to their expectation. To acknowledge their movement we should consider Circulair Friesland’s succeses. Since 2021 begin they developed some important innovative ideas for Friesland such as a sustainable and smart mobility for roadmap and making Friesland 100% liter-free.
They are active on 11 themes : biomass, build, education, plastics, energy, agriculture, mobility, water, nutrition, recreation and tourism. Most important they collaborate between business, government and education.
